Work Process For Writers and Editors
All work assignments and submissions will be done via Trello.
1. Unless you’re on a leave, I will keep assigning articles to you, depending on the workload you’ve indicated. Articles range from 100-1,000 words each.
I will also post unassigned articles on Trello. Writers can take them if they think they can handle more workload or if they’ve quickly completed their assigned articles and want to work more.
Note: Since the topics are easy and the work in general is easy, requests for reassignment will not be possible. Failure to write your assigned articles within the deadline will be considered work retraction.
2. Be sure to paraphrase everything. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Quoted texts are not allowed. A minimum of 3 references should be used.
3. Be sure to follow all of the instructions for the article.
4. All deadlines will be at 11 PM of the next day regardless of the length of the article and regardless of the time when the article was assigned to you.
5. All articles should be written in MS Word (.doc or .docx).
6. Stick to the number of words indicated for the articles. Words that you write in excess will not be paid.
7. A grace period of 5 hours will be allowed for each article. As such, requests for deadline extensions will not be possible. Failure to submit within the grace period may result in the automatic reassignment of the article. This will be considered work retraction for which the corresponding fines will be imposed.
8. Your article will be edited upon submission.
9. You will be required to make revisions under the following instances:
- The article contains plagiarized content (below 10%)
- The instructions were not followed.
- The article’s content is not well written or does not address the topic properly.
You will have 12 hours to complete revisions from the editor; 18 hours to complete revisions from the client . Grace periods do not apply.
More details will be given to the writers who are hired.
Grounds for Termination
You will be removed from the team under the following conditions:
- Submitting an article that contains 10% or more plagiarized content (May result in immediate termination)
- Repeated failure to follow instructions
- Constant delays in submission(3 consecutive delays may result in immediate termination)
- Poor quality of writing, either with regards to the grammar or content (e.g. submitting an article that requires a complete rewrite may result in immediate termination)
- Constant unavailability (Working once a week or having erratic schedules means that you do not have time for a freelance job)
- Causing unnecessary conflict (Let’s all work in peace! 🙂 )
